The project ORTHOPLAN has been approved within the second call of the Plan Avanza R & D. The budget of this project is 341.982 € for 2009. The main objective of this project is to develop a new telematic tool for surgeons based in ICTs to improve the diagnosis and surgical planning when treating bone fractures, improve quality standards, streamline and optimize the National Hospital Service and finally to increase competiveness in ICTs field and the development of the Internet of the Future. In this project we collaborate with the Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia, the Foundation Müller from Barcelona and Adapting S.L. Alma contributes in the image processing and 3D Volume reconstruction.
